The Company

Founded during the COVID-19 pandemic by a frontline clinician, this healthcare technology company set out to address longstanding inefficiencies in home-based medical care by using AI to automate repetitive administrative tasks and modernise operational workflows.

Its initial focus was the intake and processing of medical equipment orders, an area still dependent on manual, error-prone processes and legacy channels that often contain incomplete or inconsistent information. AI agents now complete a significant share of this intake work, reducing manual effort and allowing staff to concentrate on exceptions and higher-value activities. For customers, this results in lower operating costs and faster turnaround times in a healthcare environment under growing pressure to deliver speed and accuracy.

The Problem

Recognising the diversity of customer workflows, the company identified the need for highly configurable, customisable software as part of its AI solution.

Having already created a proof of concept, the CTO identified Elixir as the programming language best suited to meet the platform’s technical requirements. With only two in-house engineers, the company needed highly experienced Elixir developers to accelerate the development of the proof of concept into deliverable, customised solutions capable of meeting increasing customer demand.
