Francesco Cesarini is the founder of Erlang Solutions Ltd. He has used Erlang on a daily basis since 1995, starting as an intern at Ericsson’s computer science laboratory, the birthplace of Erlang. He moved on to Ericsson’s Erlang training and consulting arm working on the first release of OTP, applying it to turnkey solutions and flagship telecom applications. In 1999, soon after Erlang was released as open source, he founded Erlang Solutions, who have become the world leaders in Erlang based consulting, contracting, training and systems development. Francesco has worked in major Erlang based projects both within and outside Ericsson, and as Technical Director, has led the development and consulting teams at Erlang Solutions. He is also the co-author of Erlang Programming, a book recently published by O’Reilly and lectures at Oxford University and the IT University of Gothenburg.
Chief Executive Officer
Stuart joined the Erlang Solutions board in October 2009 as Commercial Director, working on its commercialisation, contractual and IPR strategies. Stuart was then appointed CEO of Erlang Solutions in January 2011. He has worked as a lawyer specialising in corporate and project finance and commercial contracts, particularly those involving complex outsourcing arrangements. For the last 6 years he was CEO and Senior Partner of a major UK law firm.
Stuart has a law degree from Exeter University. He chairs the Confederation of British Industry's South West Region. He is also a director of North Somerset Housing (social housing provider) and Listechnology Limited (superplastic forming of metal using lasers).
Chief Operating Officer
Frank has an MSc in Technology Management and over 25 years of operational and project management experience in both large multinational and small start-up companies. He has lived and worked in four countries in the Southern African Region as well as The Netherlands and the UK. He is focused on recruitment, resourcing and capacity management as well as ensuring the back-end processes for the business are in place and working. He was responsible for gaining the company ISO 9001 accreditation in January 2009 and oversees the company's KTP(1) projects.
(1) Knowledge Transfer Partnerships (KTP) is Europe's leading programme helping businesses to improve their competitiveness and productivity through the better use of knowledge, technology and skills that reside within the UK knowledge base (source: http://www.ktponline.org.uk/). These are joint venture projects between a University and a Company that are partly funded by UK Government grants. In the case of the above KTP projects, the University involved is the University of Kent in Canterbury.
Saida is a Certified Project Manager with 25 years experience of delivering business and IT programmes for Users in financial services, telecomms and retail in the UK. She is currently running some of Erlang Solutions larger projects and oversees the Erlang Solutions Programme Office. Since joining Erlang Solutions in October 2007, Saida has been instrumental in establishing planning, development, testing and production support standards within projects delivered using the DSDM Agile development methodology. Saida supports the management team in recruitment, resourcing, staff development and coaching. She is also working with the product teams to deliver Erlang Solutions contribution in three EU funded research projects - Release, Paraphrase and Prowess.
A Senior Software Consultant at Erlang Solutions, Michal Slaski started programming in Erlang on the AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow, Poland, when working on his Masters prototyping massively multiplayer online games. After graduating, he joined Erlang Solutions on key projects around the world. He is currently heading Erlang Solutions's new Krakow office in Poland, keeping the Erlang flag up high.
MD, Nordic Countries
Anders worked for over 20 years in the IT services business with Logica Sweden, giving him extensive experience in the areas of business management, complex project management, sales and sales management. Throughout his career, he has held the roles of Account Manager, Sales Manager, Operations Director and Managing Director/CEO. From their London office, he acted as Logica’s Group Head of e-Commerce.
Anders has a broad experience in IT and its application in the telecoms, banking and financial services sectors. Working with blue chip organisations requiring high quality solutions delivered on time and budget, he has gained the experience to lead a quality business that can meet those requirements. In his current role as Managing Director of Erlang Solutions in Sweden, he is responsible for the operations in the Nordic countries.
